Alabama Supreme Court and State Law Library

NOTE: Appellate Court Briefs may be filed in the State Law Library from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The goal of the library is to provide a comprehensive, viable collection to meet the ongoing legal information requirements of its patrons. The collection of the Supreme Court and State Law Library, consisting of approximately 220,000 volumes, is one of the most extensive collections of legal materials in the state.
The Library is also one of the oldest U.S. Government Depository libraries in the United States, having been designated a depository in 1884.
The library welcomes suggestions for materials to be acquired for the collection.
